A philanthropist and community development advocate, Dr. Aminu Dauda, has distributed atamfa materials to no fewer than 300 women in Malam Madori Local Government Area of Jigawa State to support them ahead of the forthcoming Sallah celebrations.
The distribution ceremony took place at the Malam Madori town hall and was attended by community leaders, religious figures and other stakeholders who witnessed the empowerment initiative aimed at supporting women in the area.
Speaking during the flag-off, the District Head of Malam Madori, Alhaji Muhammad Sale (Dokajin Hadejia), commended the gesture and urged beneficiaries to make proper use of the materials while offering prayers for the donor.
In her remarks, the Vice Chairman of Malam Madori Local Government, Hajiya Amina Haruna, expressed appreciation on behalf of women in the locality, noting that the support would ease preparations for the Sallah festivities and improve family welfare.
Some of the beneficiaries also expressed gratitude, describing the intervention as timely, particularly as residents prepare for the festive season.
In his address, Dr. Aminu Dauda emphasized the importance of community support and assisting the less privileged, especially during festive periods, adding that such initiatives promote unity and social harmony within society.
Dignitaries present at the event included Alhaji Ango Malam Madori, APC Chairman in the local government area, Alhaji Tanko Abdullahi Garin Gabas, the Chief Imam of Malam Madori, alongside other stakeholders.
It would be recalled that Dr. Aminu Dauda had earlier supported over 100 students with educational materials to promote learning in the area.
The latest distribution of atamfa materials comes at a crucial time as residents prepare for the Sallah celebrations.
