The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Convention in Abuja witnessed a political spectacle as former Controller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service, Muhammad Babandede, made a thunderous entrance that instantly captured the attention of party faithful and stakeholders.
In what many observers described as one of the most defining moments of the convention, Babandede was welcomed by a surging crowd of supporters who erupted into coordinated chants, signaling his rising political strength and deep-rooted acceptance among the grassroots.
The overwhelming reception, largely driven by supporters from Jigawa North Senatorial District, reinforced growing calls for Babandede to take on a more prominent political role.
His presence was widely seen as a direct response to sustained pressure from constituents urging him to step forward.
At a convention that drew top political heavyweights, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and several governors under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, Babandede did not just attend, he stood out.
Speaking to journalists, he commended President Tinubu and Governor Umar Namadi (Ɗanmoɗi) for providing leadership that continues to unify the party, describing the convention as a strategic convergence of vision and purpose.
Political analysts at the event noted that Babandede’s electrifying reception is a clear signal of his expanding influence, positioning him as a formidable force in the evolving political landscape of Jigawa State and beyond.
