The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Jigawa Sector Command, RS1.4, has held a townhall meeting as part of its 2025 Ember Months programmes, urging motorists to adhere to traffic rules and avoid distractions while driving.
The Sector Commander, CC UM Masa’udu, chaired the meeting on Thursday 6th November, 2025, which was attended by stakeholders and security agencies, including the Executive Governor of Jigawa State, represented by the SSG, and other dignitaries.
Masa’udu emphasized the dangers of distraction on drivers’ behaviour and the consequences of Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs) on Jigawa roads. He called on drivers to obey traffic rules to mitigate crashes.
During the meeting, 15 critical stakeholders were recognized with awards of excellence, honour, and merit for their contributions to FRSC programmes in the state.
The event was attended by representatives of government agencies, transport unions, construction companies, and the media, among others.
