The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced a major breakthrough in its preparations for the 2026 Hajj exercise with the successful acquisition of visas for the majority of intending pilgrims from the state.
The development marks a significant milestone in the ongoing arrangements for the annual pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia.
In a statement issued by the Board’s Public Relations Officer, Habibu Yusuf Babura, the board said the achievement reflects the commitment and efficiency of its leadership and staff in ensuring a smooth and timely preparation for the pilgrimage.
The statement noted that under the leadership of the Director General, Alhaji Ahmad Umar Labbo, the visa processing exercise was streamlined, enabling the board to secure visas for most of the intending pilgrims within a short period.
According to the board, the progress recorded so far has strengthened confidence that other aspects of the Hajj preparation will also proceed smoothly.
It added that the board remains committed to ensuring that all necessary arrangements are completed in good time to guarantee a hitch-free pilgrimage for pilgrims from the state.
The board also expressed optimism that the remaining processes would be concluded successfully as preparations continue for the 2026 Hajj.
