The Jigawa State Police Command has arrested several suspects involved in cattle rustling, theft, and drug trafficking across the state. The command’s operatives recovered three stolen cows, three rams, motorcycles, and over 3,000 illicit drugs in a series of operations.

According to the cammands’ public relations officer, SP Lawan Shiisu Adam, the operations were carried out in various Local Government Areas, including Ringim, Kazaure, and Dutse.

Adam said the suspects, who were identified as Jibrin Yahya, Garba, Aliyu Abubakar, and Musbahu Sabo, among others, were found in possession of stolen livestock and motorcycles. The police also recovered over 3,000 pieces of illicit drugs, including Exol, D5, and Indian hemp.

The Commissioner of Police, Jigawa State Command, CP Dahiru Muhammad, commended the officers for their professionalism and dedication to duty. He also appreciated members of the public for their continued support and timely information that led to the arrests.

The Commissioner then reiterated the commands’ commitment to ensuring that Jigawa State remains peaceful and free from crime. He urged citizens to continue providing useful information to the police to aid in crime prevention and detection.
