The First Lady of Jigawa State, Hajiya Hadiza Umar Namadi, has launched the “Flow with Confidence” programme, aimed at empowering young girls in the state to live healthy, confident, and dignified lives.

The programme, which is part of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) of Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, involves the distribution of 10,000 sanitary pads to school girls across the 27 Local Government Areas of Jigawa State.

In her speech at the launch, Hajiya Hadiza Umar Namadi emphasized the importance of menstrual hygiene and the need to break the stigma surrounding menstruation. She urged young girls to stay confident and focus on their education, saying that menstruation is a natural part of a woman’s life and not a curse.

The First Lady also expressed her gratitude to Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, for her visionary leadership and commitment to the well-being of women and girls in Nigeria. She also thanked her husband, His Excellency, Malam Umar A. Namadi, for his unwavering support for women and children in Jigawa State.

The “Flow with Confidence” programme is expected to make a crucial impact on the lives of young girls in Jigawa State, enabling them to pursue their education without interruption and live healthy and dignified lives.

The launch of the programme was attended by various stakeholders, including government officials, traditional and religious leaders, teachers, and parents.
