The Speaker of the Jigawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Haruna Aliyu Dangyatin, has congratulated Governor Malam Umar Namadi on the occasion of his 63rd birthday, describing his leadership as visionary and impactful.

In a statement issued on behalf of lawmakers, the Assembly Service Commission and staff of the House, Dangyatin said the milestone was not only a reflection of divine grace but also an opportunity to celebrate the governor’s dedication to public service.

He noted that Namadi’s administration has ushered in an era of stability and measurable progress across the state, driven by his widely publicised 12-point development agenda.

“Your leadership continues to inspire confidence and hope among the people. The 12-point agenda is not just a policy framework but a living promise being fulfilled through tangible projects in our constituencies,” the speaker said.

Dangyatin also commended the governor’s calm disposition and commitment to inclusive governance, particularly his focus on empowering youths and supporting vulnerable groups under what he described as the “Greater Jigawa” vision.

The speaker further highlighted the cordial relationship between the executive and legislative arms of government, attributing the harmony to mutual respect and adherence to democratic principles.

According to him, the synergy between both arms has enabled the swift passage of people-oriented laws and budgets, ensuring that governance delivers meaningful impact at the grassroots.

“In Jigawa, we have enjoyed a rare partnership built on trust and collaboration. The governor has consistently treated the legislature as a co-traveller in the task of state-building, allowing us to focus on addressing the needs of our constituents rather than engaging in unnecessary political disputes,” he added.

He said the peaceful working relationship has created a conducive political environment that prioritises development and service delivery over conflict.

Dangyatin prayed for continued good health, wisdom and strength for the governor, expressing optimism that his administration would sustain its development strides.

“As you mark this important milestone, we pray that Almighty Allah grants you long life, sound health and the fortitude to lead Jigawa State to greater heights,” the statement added.

Governor Namadi’s administration has been widely associated with reforms and development initiatives across key sectors, with stakeholders citing improved cooperation among government institutions as a major driver of progress.
