The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Jigawa State has reiterated its commitment to promoting unity, inclusion and peaceful coexistence among members as part of efforts to strengthen the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The immediate past State Secretary of the party and current Jigawa North East Zonal Vice Chairman, Mallam Muhammad Dikuma Umar, stated this while addressing journalists in Hadejia.
Dikuma described unity, inclusion and peace as critical ingredients necessary for harmony, growth and sustainable development in any society, stressing that the APC remains focused on carrying every member along irrespective of political differences.
He explained that the recently concluded screening exercise for political aspirants in the state was conducted in a transparent and strategic manner aimed at consolidating the party’s strength and positioning it for greater success in future elections.
According to him, the exercise was designed not only to select credible candidates but also to deepen internal democracy and ensure fairness among party members.
The APC chieftain urged all aspirants and party supporters to accept the outcomes of the screening process in good faith, noting that political success and failure are determined by the will of Allah.
He called on party members to place the interest of the APC above personal ambitions and continue working together in unity and sincerity for the overall progress of the party and the state.
“Whether one is chosen as a candidate or not, members should remain committed to the ideals of the party because success or failure in every human endeavour lies entirely with Allah SWT,” he said.
Dikuma further appealed for stronger collaboration and creative partnership among members at all levels to ensure victory for the APC before, during and after the 2027 elections.
He also commended Governor Umar Namadi for what he described as resilience, courage and visionary leadership in fostering unity and development across Jigawa State without discrimination based on social or economic background.
The APC zonal vice chairman expressed optimism that the state would continue to witness progress, equity and greater opportunities under the leadership of the ruling party.
He prayed for sustained peace, prosperity and political stability in Jigawa State, describing the APC as a vehicle for delivering meaningful development and improving the lives of the people.
