The Gatan Alumma Charity Foundation, under the leadership of its Chairperson, Hajiya Aisha Ahmad Adam, has intensified efforts to support orphans, vulnerable children, and less-privileged women across communities in Jigawa State through humanitarian outreach programmes aimed at improving lives and promoting social welfare.
As part of its recent outreach visit to communities including Jigawar Tsada, Jigayi, and Galadimawa, the foundation reaffirmed its commitment to uplifting disadvantaged members of society through education, healthcare support, and women empowerment initiatives.
Speaking during the outreach, the foundation’s Chairperson, Hajiya Aisha Ahmad Adam, said the organisation was established with the aim of giving hope to vulnerable families and helping them build a better future.
According to her, the foundation focuses on supporting orphans and underprivileged persons, particularly women and children, through various intervention programmes designed to reduce hardship and improve living conditions.
She explained that the foundation provides educational assistance to needy children by supplying school materials and paying school fees for those unable to continue their education due to poverty.
“Our goal is to ensure that every child, regardless of background, has access to education and a brighter future. We believe education remains the strongest tool for changing lives and empowering communities,” she said.
The chairperson further noted that the organisation is also committed to improving the health and wellbeing of women and children through medical support and welfare services.
She added that special attention is being given to empowering women through counselling, vocational guidance, educational opportunities, and self-reliance support programmes aimed at helping them become financially independent.
Residents of the benefiting communities commended the foundation for its humanitarian interventions, describing the outreach as timely and impactful, especially for widows, orphans, and struggling families facing economic difficulties.
Community leaders in the areas visited also praised the efforts of the foundation, saying such charitable initiatives would help strengthen social support systems and encourage more individuals and organisations to contribute towards community development.
The Gatan Alumma Charity Foundation has continued to expand its humanitarian activities in different parts of Jigawa State, with renewed commitment to building a compassionate society where vulnerable children and women are given opportunities to live dignified and productive lives.
